The AI models I build with
A model is the part that reads plain language and writes plain language back. It is what actually answers a customer, drafts a reply in your tone, or reads an enquiry and pulls out what matters. On their own the models are generic. The work is pointing them at your information, holding them to your rules, and choosing the right one for the job, which is what the rest of this toolbox does. These are the models the builds behind "Answer the questions you get asked all day" and "Reply to every review in your own voice" run on. I do not tie a business to a single maker. Where one model reads documents better or costs less for a repeat job, the build can use it without being rebuilt.
ClaudeAnthropic
One of the two main AI models the builds use to read and write in plain language. Claude is made by Anthropic. It is a strong fit for the careful, rule-bound work on this site: answering only from approved material, and pointing back to the exact source it used rather than asking a customer to trust it. It is one of the models behind builds like "Answer the questions you get asked all day".
GPTOpenAI
The other main AI model the builds draw on, made by OpenAI. Like Claude, it reads a question and writes an answer in plain language, drafts in your tone, or reads an enquiry and pulls out what matters. Having both means a build can use whichever one does a particular job better or more cheaply, rather than being locked to one maker.
VoyageVoyage AI
A specialist model made by Voyage AI, and it does two jobs in the search behind "Find anything in your own documents in seconds". First it turns your documents and a customer's question into a form that can be compared by meaning rather than by exact words, so an oddly worded question still lands on the right passage. Then a second Voyage model re-sorts the closest matches so the best answer comes out on top. It is the only model that handles the meaning step in the build; nothing else does that work.
